Acetal provides high strength and stiffness coupled with enhanced dimensional stability and ease of machining. As a semi-crystalline material, acetal is also characterized by a low coefficient of friction and good wear properties -- especially in wet environments.
Because acetal absorbs minimal amounts of moisture, its physical properties remain constant in a variety of environments. Low moisture absorption results in excellent dimensional stability for close-tolerance machined parts.
Available in a standard sheet size of 48"x120" for thicknesses up to 2". For Acetal over 2" thickness, 24"x48" plates are available. We supply full sheets or custom cut to size, we stock a large inventory in different thicknesses of the below Acetal materials.
ACETAL SHEETS
Acetal GP - Natural

Natural Acetal is FDA approved for food contact applications.
Acetal GP - Black
Black Acetal GP has all of the same high-strength properties as natural, making it great for mechanical parts. Where Natural and Black Acetal differ is Black is NOT approved for food contact applications but is UV stabilized, making it a superior performer in applications that are exposed to sunlight.
