ACETAL MACHINED PARTS
**All Parts are custom machined to order to meet customer specs or Plastruct Supplied Design**
Plastruct Polyzone's team of skilled machinists and fabricators have extensive experience working with Acetal to produce high-strength wear parts and other custom components.
Acetal provides high strength and stiffness, coupled with enhanced dimensional stability and ease of machining. Acetals extremely low moisture absorption results in excellent dimensional stability and the ability to retain tight tolerances. In high moisture or submerged applications, acetal bearings outperform nylon 4:1. Acetal is ideally suited for close tolerance mechanical parts and electrical insulators which require strength and stiffness.

Gearing
When made of Acetal, gears are able to be used in a wider range of environments than metal gearing and last longer. Acetal gears can be used in wet or chemically exposed environments without rust or corrosion. Acetal gears also weigh less than metal counter parts and can reduce noise in your assembly.

Bushings & Bearings
Acetal bushings & bearings are high-strength and can be used to replace steel for their enhanced ability to absorb shock or to become a sacrificial part and not damage or destroy other parts of the assembly. Acetal is corrosion and chemically resistant and can be used in a greater range of environments than metal. Acetal can retain a tight tolerance in wet environments.

Star Wheel
Used in conveyor assembly's and bottling lines, star wheels are used to orient a product in a production line. Using acetal in this application will result in cost saving over a metal component, will not rust or corrode, and will weigh less than a metal component. Acetal is approved for food contact. Acetal will retain its tolerance and not rust in wet environments.

Vanes (Vaccum Pump)
Acetal's high-strength and dimensional stability along with it's low coefficient of friction make it a quality performer in vacuum pumps. Acetal has the ability to meet and retain tight tolerances due to it's moisture resistant properties.
