Canvas Phenolic grade CE sheet is made of a cotton canvas cloth impregnated with a phenolic resin binder. Known primarily for its mechanical properties, Phenolic CE sheet is a hard, dense material.

More About Phenolic

Phenolic is created when weighted layers of cotton, paper or glass fabric mix are placed under heat and pressure and filled with synthetic resin. This creates an extremely durable and tough material that is exceptionally more lightweight than aluminum but offers many of the same benefits and applications.

Other combinations of fibers and resins are available as cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure thermosetting industrial laminated phenolic plastic.
