Nylon resin manufactures into a tough dimensionally stable sheet or profile. Its low coefficient of friction and inherent machinability make nylon applicable to diverse fields.

Nylon has many grade options, which may alter the data presented below. Nylon also has a water absorption rate of 7%, which can result in dimensional changes up to 2%, and a corresponding reduction of physical properties.

Applications for nylon include; bearings, rollers, wear pads, gears, nozzles, pulleys and many more. There are various brand names available such as Nylatron, Vekton etc.
