Phenolic

Phenolic is a thermoset plastic that is made with a layered or laminated contruction. It is primarily used for its excellent mechanical properties (stiffness and dimensional stability) and for its electrical properties. Various grades are available for specific applications ranging from machine table tops and gears, to high temperature insulation boards and circuit boards.
